Audio Brevity idea turns one

A year ago, on January 16th, 2024, I registered the domain for Audio Brevity.

I wrote the first commit to build out a prototype on January 15th. The first version was rough. I started building with NextJS and a few microservices. Through it I kept having little issues. I talked about it on an episode of "Adventures From the Pad". This got me really far. I got to learn about how the app would flow, what it would do, and some of the pitfalls.

In August I rewrote the whole thing on Laravel. Again, an episode has more details.

Over the last year I've learned so much about podcasts, how they use (or don't use) XML, scaling up a Postgres database to handle so, so much data, how to do structured responses well with OpenAI, experimented with so many prompts, did user-support, learned how to market, felt failure over and over, found some small successes, and ultimately have been so excited about all that Audio Brevity has been in my life.

I'm so excited about 2025 and where Audio Brevity is going. So many users are enjoying it and personally I'm absolutely loving it.

To 2025, and the future! 🥂
